Iain MacIntyre was born and grew up in Vancouver. He joined The Vancouver Sun as a reporter in 1990 - about 10 years after he delivered the newspaper - and has been covering the Vancouver Canucks since 1991. In 2005, he became a columnist. MacIntyre's work has won awards from the B.C. Newspaper Foundation and the Professional Hockey Writers' Association, although his chief claims to fame are nicknaming Pavel Bure "The Russian Rocket" and once scoring five goals in a road hockey game.
